I’m back from the Star Wars: Unlimited Galactic Championship event in Las Vegas as my darling dears +1, followed by a road trip and romp through Gen Con 2026 in Indianapolis And then, I came down with the “con crud”, and was out of commission for a week. Now its Friday!
So many things can happen inside of a month. Thankfully, Dungeon Delve is here to provide a snapshot of interesting finds and developments across cyberspace in the TTRPG arena.
Granted, not every grand development can be encapsulated in a newsletter issue. Every delve uncovers different treasures, and explores a separate part of the grand chasm. Allow me to unearth just a few of the things I’ve uncovered in the past month.

For the designers and content creators, Explorers Design has dropped a list of public domain art resources!
Finally, I want to spotlight Worldographer (Hexographer II). Newly out of Beta as of last December, it is a hierarchical multi-tiered world builder where you can build hex-based world maps and drill down into specific regional maps as you please. Whats In the Bag??
Nowadays, its hard to get a group together to play something new. In order to crack that shell, I need pitch something strange; something with a killer niche! … So, at GenCon, I picked up Helluva Town, a bonkers Looney Tones style murder mystery game set in a city much like “Toon Town” from Who Framed Roger Rabbit.
With art from Shawn Dickenson (of Cuphead fame), you can expect your table experience to be off the wall madness!
Gameable Advice
Sandbox campaigns can be overwhelming to run as a game master, and confounding to explore as a player. So many possibilities, and countless paths to take. Golem Productions lists 5 ways to overcome sandbox paralysis.
I love factions! … No campaign can go without groups of armed ideologues and contesting interests. The DMs Lair (while focused on DnD) has a bunch of great advice on how to conduct and represent them in your games!
Speaking of factions, every good fantasy setting contains groups of religious of cult-like devotees. RPG Ramblings talks gamifying devotion, and provides tables to generate your own monastic orders!

All of that 2-3 year hubbub about Wizards of the Coast going digital has taken yet another blow as John Hight steps down as president, Rascal News reports.
Another widely known resource, but a good refresher. BoardGameGeek hosts a master list of game conventions across the globe.
Shadowmain managed to obtain a bunch of community responses on “Whats your favorite death mechanic for a TTRPG” on its show, and dissects the results.
Due to the amazing execution of Pirate Borg and its lack of representation in the ENNIEs, Thaumavore ponders the current trend of “borg” related games and determines that the crest of the wave has passed.
