I. Foreward
Swirls of darkness and deep color consumed their thoughts. A deep feeling came over each of a never-ending fall, with visions of watchers around a table staring into them. The mysterious silouetes cackled, argued, and cheered as if their very lives had been like a grand play for some divine entertainment.
A thunderous boom of something massive striking the ground, as if tumbling into their souls; they could feel the direction of their fate becoming dictated by the toss of these strange elder gods.
The moment the sounds of the tumbling ceased, eyes sprung open!
In the dark cavern, washed up upon the shores of a subterranean lake, debris of stone, wood, and destroyed books lying about them, the thief, paladin, and sage looked about. ... Someone was perched upon a rock looking down upon them, with a wide toothy grin.
Hello, friends.
This past week has been an absolute rush, and a joy to experience Gen Con 2025! Being one of the world's most enigmatic hobby gaming conventions, a vast wonderland of games, publishers, goodies, panels, shows, and hobby gaming celebration, I have returned to bring you some of the biggest developments over this past week!

First, I want to thank my fellow compatriots who volunteered with me through Envoy/Double Exposure; a troupe on a mission of game mastering and improv performance, to bring the fires of inspiration and epic scenery to the table. I also want to thank those who I've had the pleasure to meet at Darrington Press during our marathons of 45-minute demos of Daggerheart RPG’s quickstart adventure. I've made quite a number of friends this year, and hope we continue to cross paths in the future!

20 demos, 20 hours, 20 sessions of Daggerheart, and about 100 players at each table!
You'd think I'd be completely over it by now, but I'm already looking at hosting games of Daggerheart at upcoming conventions in the Twin Cities area (2D Con is incoming!). The fact is, I might have fallen in love with this system. .... just a little bit. It is truly a culmination of great ideas and mechanics pulled together to create something unique.

There are too many things to cover in one issue, so I’ll sum what I can, and may issue a 0.5 issue in a few days if I dont cover everything! … Lets dive in!!
