TTRPG Glossary
Narrative Control: The degree of influence which players or the GM have over the direction and development of an RPGs overall story. Some systems (such as FATE, Powered by the Apocalypse, Blades in the Dark, etc) distribute narrative control among the players, while others embrace GM-led, pre-determined story paths, or random chance.
Worldbuilding Glossary
Mythopoeia: The creation of full mythologies and cultural systems for a specific fantasy or sci-fi universe. While the term has origins in Hellenic Greek, its expansion into speculative fiction and self-referential prominence is recent, embodied in the works of early authors such as JRR Tolkien, Robert E. Howard, HP Lovecraft, and C.S. Lewis,… as well as subsequently in franchises such as Star Wars, Marvel comics, Warhammer 40k, and many more.
