I. The Prologue of the Thief
"Move fast, and dont break anything."
Fantastic advice for a crew on a heist. And no reason to! A vacant estate. Anti-magic for the arcane eyes. Golem deactivated. Slumbering guards hunched near a tasty, and drug-laced pie. A flawless plan.
If it weren't for a duo of fierce canines turning the corner mid-vault cracking, snarling then bolting. The thief dropped tools and sped down the hall and through the study. It didn't take long for the crashing of vases to signal an alarm, wake the guards, alert the eyes, and activate the golem.
The dogs were supposed to be with the lord on holiday. The partner had bad information. It could happen to anyone. Or so the partner pleaded as they broke a window and barreled out.
The thief is on the lam, and forced to lay low. At least there’s plenty of reading material! … Lets jump into todays Dungeon Delve!

A Maniacs Insight (Where I quote an adjacent Substack blog) x2
For nearly four years, I began every game with the same immortal phrase: “when last we met our heroes.”
I would then launch into a recap of our campaign, packed with details and useful information that players would need for the session.
It was also my least favourite part of playing D&D.
Remember boredom? That thing we used to complain about as kids? Yeah, it’s practically extinct. These days, there’s always something to watch, scroll, or click. And while that might sound great, it’s actually a problem.
Boredom is essential. It’s where creativity happens. It’s where we reflect, imagine, and innovate. But in a world of endless entertainment, we’ve lost the ability to just… sit with our thoughts. And that’s bad news for hobbies like TTRPGs, which require focus, creativity, and patience.
